Environment-friendly Kids' Learning Toys

Most of the learning toys of all kinds for the kids now are made of wood. Building blocks, toy shovels, toy trains, and so forth and so on were made out of wood over the years by toy manufacturers since wood was easy to obtain from lumber firms. These firms have been cutting down the trees from the forests, and have been supplying the wood requirements for the construction industry, like the builders of houses, the makers of furniture, and the many toy makers, including those engaged in the making of children educational toys. The use of wood was just as widely practiced as the use of any other natural resource mined from the bowels of the earth. 

This might change however in the near future as the world comes to grips with the global warming problem, and implements hard solutions to combat the effects of the rise in world temperatures. These emergency measures could include the banning of the cutting of trees worldwide, inasmuch as the continued cutting down of trees could be a major cause of the rising temperatures.

The trees that were supposed to contain the carbon dioxide from escaping into the atmosphere have been unable lately to do that function since the number of trees has drastically gone down. There was so much cutting of trees for various uses in the past but there has not been enough effort to replace them. 

It is just a good thing that the recycling industry has discovered that non-biodegradable garbage items like metals and plastics can be successfully recovered from the garbage dumps. These are then melted back into raw materials usable in the making of many things like window frames for houses, furniture, the framing needs of the electronic industry, and even children educational toys for the children.

The recycling industry can provide the raw materials needed by the manufacturers, like toys, not any more from wood, but from the synthetic materials coming from recycled garbage. This is one good reason for the total banning of the cutting down of the trees in the forests, since wood may no longer be needed in the factories that have shifted to the use of plastics and other synthetic materials as their raw materials for their manufacturing operations.

Since the environmental problems confronting humanity now are best addressed with measures to restore the environmental balance, like the replanting of the trees, the forest can now remain undisturbed because the garbage dumps have taken over as the source of the raw material requirements of industry.
